OGDEN a€" Dorothy Clifford Lewis has left this earth to be with our Heavenly Father, returning home to the loving arms of her husband and family members on July 6, 2011. She was born at the family home in Millville, Utah on March 16, 1920 to David and Marie Kauffman Clifford.

She married Conway Haws Lewis on April 28, 1939. Their marriage and love for each other was later solemnized in the Logan Temple. Together they were blessed with three children.

As an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, she served n many positions. She enjoyed serving others being a faithful visiting teacher and a friend to all. She was an amazing woman who never hesitated to help someone in need. Her generosity and love could be trace to every facet of her life. She had the "gift of gab" and loved to visit with people. She always worked hard and taught her family to do the same. Dorothy was employed for many years with the Ogden City School lunch program, spending the majority of her time at Ogden High School where she helped and loved the students. She also worked at Defense Depot of Ogden as a classifier for 11 years, retiring in 1975.

Dorothy spent her childhood growing up in Millville, Utah. She enjoyed telling stories of her childhood and the fond memories she had growing up. She loved and appreciated the beauty of the great outdoors. She attended North Cache High School, being one of the few to attend her 60th year class reunion at the Iron Gate Grill.

The top priority in her life was her family. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, bowling, camping, fishing, hunting and traveling. She always looked forward to the annual hunting trip with family and friends. One of her greatest enjoyments came from watching her children, grandchildren and great-grand-children participate in sports. She never missed a ball game, rodeo, school function, dance recital, gymnastic competition, or any other event that one of the children was involved in. Her dedication made her the backbone of our family and we will cherish her memory.

Dorothy is survived by two sons, James C. (Launa) and Gary C. (Pamela), daughter Betty (Eloy) Garcia; eight grandchildren, James A., Brett (Sheila), Rich (Nanci), Casa (Tracy) Woolsey, Jennefer (Danial) Nebeker, Sarah Garcia, Shanna (PJ) Brown, Kyle (Sara) Garcia; 19 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
