Dorothy Marie Poulsen Hall

Dorothy Marie Poulsen Hall passed away peacefully at her home on Monday, March 31, 2014, surrounded by her family. Dorothy was born in Grace, Idaho on February 17, 1915, the daughter of Denzil L. and Marie Vanderheide Poulsen.
Dorothy graduated from Weber State University and worked as a teacher in Weber School District, where she plunged into an irrigation ditch near the school to save the life of one of her precious students. Later in life, she managed the drapery department for ZCMI until she finally retired.
She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served as an organist until she was 85 years old, worked in the family extraction program, and other church callings. She loved spending time with her family, playing music, cooking, and sewing.
Dorothy was sealed in the Salt Lake LDS Temple to Lester G. Hall who preceded her in death. She is survived by her four children, Glade (Kay) Hall, Steve (Carol) Hall, Gaylynne (Jay) Nylander, and Chris Hall; eight grandchildren, and 18 great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held on Saturday, April 5, 2014 at 3 p.m. at Lindquist’s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd. Friends may visit with family on Saturday from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.
