Dorothy M. McLaughlin passed away June 2, 2011. She was born on July 29, 1927 to Ellen J. and Fred J. Bass in Clymer, PA. She attended Clymer Public Schools from grades 1-12 and graduated in 1945. She then attended Baun School of Cosmetology and worked as a beautician until January 1951 when she joined the U.S. Air Force.

She met and married Harold E. McLaughlin at Francis E. Warren AFB in Wyoming. She ended her Air Force career in 1952. They shared two daughters, Barbara and Shirley and a loving marriage of 54 years.

She was preceded in death by her parents, daughters Barbara and Shirley, and husband Harold. She is survived by her granddaughters Lauren and Jessica.

Graveside services will be held Wednesday, June 8, 2011 at 2 p.m. at Lindquist''s Memorial Park at Layton, 1867 N. Fairfield Road. Services entrusted to Lindquist''s Layton Mortuary where friends may call one hour prior to services.
