Dorothy Arlene Bailey Randolph, aged 88, passed away peacefully on October 23, 2024, in Clearfield, Utah. Born on November 30, 1935, in Fairfield, Illinois, Dorothy led a life filled with love, creativity, and dedication to her family and community.
Dorothy married her beloved husband, Thomas W. Randolph, on December 24, 1953, in North Carolina. Their marriage was a partnership that flourished through numerous relocations due to Thomas's service in the Air Force, ultimately leading them to settle in Utah in 1968. Throughout her life, Dorothy was known for her vibrant spirit and unwavering commitment to her loved ones.
An accomplished quilter, Dorothy crafted beautiful quilts that served as cherished tokens for her family. Her passion for gardening brought beauty into her surroundings, reflecting her nurturing nature. Dorothy's greatest joy, however, came from being a devoted grandmother and great-grandmother, relishing every moment spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Dorothy was also an active member of her community, contributing her time and energy to organizations such as the Eastern Star. Her kindness and commitment to helping others left a lasting impact on those fortunate enough to know her.
Dorothy is survived by her sons Thomas and Joe (Darlene), sisters, Louise and Eva, cherished grandchildren: Justus, Krista, Ron, and Melissa. She will also be fondly remembered by her great-grandchildren: Suddin, Brooke, Xzavier, Enice, and Frankie.
She reunites in heaven with her late husband, Thomas Randolph, her brothers, Frankie and Buddy, her sister, Edna May, and her great-granddaughter, Paris.
Dorothy Arlene Bailey Randolph will be deeply missed by her family and friends, who carry her memory in their hearts. She leaves behind a legacy of love, warmth, and creativity that will continue to inspire all those who were blessed to have known her.
Graveside Services will be held Wednesday November 6, 2024, at 12:00 p.m. at Lindquist's Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road, Layton, Utah. Friends may visit with family Tuesday November 5, 2024, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and Wednesday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at Lindquist's Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road, Layton, Utah.
