Dorothy Ethel Worton Taylor

Our loving wife, mother, and grandmother, Dorothy Ethel Worton Taylor, 83, passed away on Wednesday, June 26, 2013. She was born on September 14, 1929 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Wayne Kenneth and Elizabeth Fox Seamon Worton. She grew up in Logan and Ogden. After graduating from Ogden High School, class of 1947, she trained as a seamstress at Utah Tailoring.

It was while working as a seamstress that Dot met the love of her life, Clair "Bud" Lee Taylor and they began dating. Bud joined the Army and after his training they were married on December 15, 1950 in Morgan, Utah. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple.

The couple raised four children together in Farr West. She loved being a mom and homemaker, collecting dolls, and sewing clothes for everyone. She especially loved her grandkids.

Dot was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Farr West 3rd Ward. She taught primary for years and really enjoyed the children.

She also loved to cook; homemade bread and chili were her specialties. She was loving and caring and will be dearly missed.

Dot is survived by her husband, Bud, Farr West; children, Pamela Jean (Dennis) Wilcox, Farr West; Clair L. Taylor, Jr., Willard; Steve L. (Susan) Taylor, Athol, ID; and Kevin L. (Vickie) Taylor, Farr West; six grandchildren, Justin, Rory, Mindy, April, Jessica and Kameron; and five great-grandchildren, Megan, Nathan, Katelyn, Zayne and Zoey.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and siblings, Phyllis, Kenneth, and Wayne "George".

Graveside services will be held on Saturday, June 29, 2013 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist''s Memorial Gardens of the Wasatch, 1718 Combe Road. Friends may visit with family on Saturday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at Lindquist''s North Ogden Mortuary, 2140 N. Washington Blvd.

Thanks to IHC Hospice, especially Heidi and a very special thanks to Pamela Jean for all the time, care, and love she gave to mom.
