Douglas Blair Seaman Jr

Douglas Blair Seaman Jr., 62, passed away in South Ogden, Utah, in the early morning of December 31, 2024. Born to Douglas Blair Sr. and Faun Hatch Seaman on November 22, 1962, Thanksgiving Day, after his mother, famously ensured dinner was in the oven before heading to the hospital. Doug lived life with the same practical humor that marked his entrance into the world.

Doug was married to Paula Moore Seaman from 1990 to 2016 and raised a beautiful family.

A skilled mechanic by trade and passion, Doug found his greatest joy working with his hands, especially while restoring his beloved 1966 Mustang. His signature mullet and encyclopedic knowledge of classic rock were legendary among family and friends, who fondly remember his impromptu music trivia sessions and ability to name any song and artist at a moment's notice.

 Though he shied away from the spotlight, Doug's quiet wit and genuine nature drew people to him. In his later years, he demonstrated his deep family devotion by becoming a dedicated caretaker for his parents, showing the same attention to detail and commitment he brought to everything he did.

 Doug was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

 Doug is survived by his children, Ciara Ashlee Holt (Carrigan) and Clint Douglas Seaman; his mother, Faun Hatch Seaman; siblings, Pam Weinstock (Bill), Gloria Hampson (Cris), Launa Dickson (Ben), DeAnn McNair (Steve), and Michael Seaman (Polly); as well as eight nephews and four nieces who will all miss Doug’s unique spirit. He was preceded in death by his children, Stacey Alexis Seaman and Michael Douglas Seaman; and his father, Douglas Blair Seaman Sr.

 Graveside services will be held on Thursday, January 9, 2025, at 2 p.m. at Lindquist’s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd. Services entrusted to Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary.
