Douglas Michael Wright

Douglas Michael Wright, 52, passed away on Saturday, April 18, 2015. He was born on December 27, 1962 in Ogden, Utah, the son of Amos Michael and Annette Maycock Wright. He was raised in Pleasant View and graduated from Weber High School Class of 1981. Doug served an LDS Mission in the Korean Pusan Mission from 1982 to 1983. He settled in Salt Lake City and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree from University of Utah in 1995.
Doug married Mi Hui Pak on March 17, 1984 and they were blessed with two beautiful and talented daughters before they divorced.
He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Doug worked as a delivery truck driver for U.P.S. from 1986 to 2001. He later volunteered at the LDS Peach Orchard in Pleasant View.
He was an artist and a poet. He enjoyed music, collecting nature for art projects, and was fascinated by genetics. He loved animals, teasing people, and being a part of the natural world.
Doug is survived by his two daughters, Shae Wright, Brooklyn, NY and Hailee Wright, Salt Lake City, UT; and sisters, Kathy (Drew) Miller, South Weber and Kristynn (Tom) Runyan, Meridian, ID. He was preceded in death by his parents, and sister, Angie Wright.
Graveside services will be held on Monday, April 27, 2015 at 11 a.m. at the Ben Lomond Cemetery, North Ogden. Services entrusted to Lindquist’s North Ogden Mortuary.
