Dr. Gordon Keith Dunn

Dr. Gordon Keith Dunn, 69, passed away in the early morning hours on July 25, 2013. He was born the only child of Lionel Robinson and Louise Rowland Dunn on April 2, 1944.

Gordon attended Ogden City Schools, Utah State University, and graduated from Weber State University with a Bachelors degree in Zoology. He was a member of the Mt. Ogden LDS Ward.

In 1963, Gordon''s son David was born, and in 1988 they were reunited. Gordon has been blessed to have had these last 25 years with him.

In 1966, Gordon married the late Karen Gudmundson Crase. Their union created Sabra, a beautiful baby girl. They later divorced. Gordon was Sabra''s hero, teaching her how to shoot guns, and to always stay young and playful in life.

Gordon was accepted to Georgetown University School of Dentistry, graduating in 1972 with a D.D.S. degree. He purchased practices in Maryland and the District of Columbia, where he practiced until the late 1980''s. He retired from dentistry, chose a new career in Real Estate, and moved back to Utah.

On June 25, 1976, Gordon met his wife Rosemary. It was love at first sight for them both, and one year to the day, they were married. Their love produced the miracle of life, their beautiful daughter Chaunelle. Gordon and "Chauney" shared a special bond. He was her superman, but also her biggest fan.

Gordon lived a full and active life. He loved movies, the more special effects the better, climbing our beautiful Utah Mountains, guns, and classic cars. He always started his Christmas shopping on Christmas Eve, not because he was a procrastinator, for he truly was, but because that was when all the great sales started. Gordon was a dreamer, inventor, scientist, and artist by nature. He thought and lived his life completely out of the box. A genius in his own right, he truly believed that anything was possible.

Gordon is survived by his beloved wife, Rosemary; son, David (Donna) Bowles; daughter, Sabra (George) Benford; daughter, Chaunelle Dunn (McLean); leaves seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; and half sister, Jean Last.

He was preceded in death by his parents and half brother, Dean.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 1, 2013 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist''s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. Friends may visit with family on Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Thursday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the mortuary.

Interment, Ogden City Cemetery.
