Dr. Lowell Raymond Daines, MD

Dr. Lowell Raymond Daines, MD, 79, passed away on Monday, April 2, 2012. He was born to Raymond King and Evelyn Eliza Lowe Daines. He was raised in Magna and Brigham City where he graduated from Box Elder High School. He served as an officer in the US Army National Guard for a number of years. Lowell married Patricia June Hunsaker on September 14, 1954 in Logan. They were later divorced. He married Erika Schubert on June 21, 1983 in Ogden.

He graduated from Utah State with a Bachelors degree, George Washington University with his Medical degree and did his surgical training at the University of Maryland in Baltimore. He had his own practice and operated at McKay-Dee Hospital and St. Benedicts, which is now Ogden Regional Medical Center. He was totally dedicated to his patients who always came first.

Lowell is survived by his wife, Erika; daughters, Denise (Lyle) Hunt, Paradise, CA; Lee Anne (Ward) Clark, Double Oak, TX; Tracy (Doug) Brown, Westwood, MA; and Kristin (Stubby) Stevens, Ogden, UT; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brothers, Sheridan (Nancy) Daines, La Verkin, UT and Dixon (LaEtta) Daines, Ogden UT.

He was preceded in death by his son, Darrin Daines; grandson, Travis Clark; and brother, William Kay Daines.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date. Services entrusted to Lindquist''s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.
