NORTH OGDEN a€" Phillip Mayo Hinze died Tuesday, July 10, 2007 at his home. He is survived by his wife, Beverly Page (Palmer) Hinze, and their 105 descendants. Dad was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Adele Carson who died in 1981; a brother; and two sisters.

Our own "Dr. Phil" was born at home on May 22, 1918 Payson, Utah. He worked his way through eight years of college to become a doctor of veterinary medicine. He was a pioneer in livestock fertility, president of the Washington State Veterinary Assn., chairman of the North View Senior Center, and was active in his church and community.

Surviving are his biological children: Brent (Sarah), Mesa, AZ; Gary (Sandie), Nevada City, CA; Vickie (Mark) Burnside, Layton; Val (Colleen), West Point; Renee (Stan) Lakey, Yakima, WA; step-children, Cathy (Dennis) Cordell and Kelly (Valerie) Palmer, both of Pocatello, ID; Jill (Mark) Anderson, Wellsville, UT; Kip (Suzanne) Palmer, Highland, UT; sisters, Dorsmae (Fred) Hanson, Chowchilla, CA; Roberta (Eldon) Stoker, Beaver, UT.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 14 at 11 a.m. at the North Ogden 16th Ward Chapel, 205 E. Elberta Dr.

Friends may call at Lindquist''s North Ogden Mortuary, 2140 North Washington Blvd., on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday at the Ward Chapel 9:45 to 10:45 a.m.

Interment, Ogden City Cemetery.
