Dr. Wilson Richard Barton, D.C., M.D. passed away Tuesday February 23, 2010. He was born November 2, 1946 in Salt Lake City, UT. He earned his Eagle Scout at age 13, his pilot "wings" at age 17, graduated from Davis High School in 1965, and served a mission in Germany. He obtained an engineering degree, a biology degree, and graduated from L.A.C.C. with a Doctorate of Chiropractic. He co-founded the U.A.C.P. and was voted Outstanding Chiropractic Physician of the Year in 1985. He attended William Howard Taft School of Law. He was also fluent in German, Spanish, and Vietnamese. He graduated from Grace Medical School with an M.D in 2000. Knowledge and family were his passion.

He is survived by his wife Kathryn Tezak Barton, his mother June H. Vowles, his children Deborah, Kristopher, Melissa, Daniel (Stephanie), Gillette, Corbin, Alexis (Brandon); granddaughter Anistyn; his sisters Kathe and Konnie, and family. He is preceded in death by his father Wilson Gardner Barton.

He was a kind hearted, intelligent, positive man who was loved and will be missed by all. A wake will be held at the Foxboro North Clubhouse, 1080 N. Amberly Dr, North Salt Lake, UT on Sunday February 28, 2010 at 2 p.m. Arrangements under the direction of Lindquist''s Layton Mortuary, 1867 N Fairfield Rd.
