Dwaine Allen, 79, passed away on Monday, August 18, 2014.  He was born on March 6, 1935 in Uintah, Utah a son of Maurice and Harriet Combe Allen Shiner.  He was raised in the Ogden area and graduated from Weber High School.

He married Luana Otterstrom on August 12, 1960 in Ogden, Utah.

Dwaine worked for Williamsen Body and Equipment in Ogden and Salt Lake and later worked for Jetway Systems as a welder.

He enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, and continued his enjoyment of welding after retirement by making yard critters.  He enjoyed going to yard sales and the Motor-Vu swap meet and collecting items for his antique room.

Dwaine was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Dwaine is survived by his wife, Luana; four children, Annette (Keith) DeHart of Millville; Larry (Michele) Allen of Roy; Nancy (Jim) Russell of Roy; and Roger Allen of Ogden; fourteen grandchildren and one great-grandchild.  He is also survived by three brothers, Glen (Carol) Allen of Roy; Lloyd Allen of South Ogden; and Earl (Elaine) Allen of Roy; and one sister, Linda Bowman of Ogden.

He was preceded in death by one daughter, Julie.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 23, 2014 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.  Friends may visit with family on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at the mortuary.

Interment, Lindquist’s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd.
