Dwaine J. Hadley OGDEN – Dwaine J. Hadley, 80, died Sunday, August 12, 2007 at McKay-Dee Hospital following a prolonged illness. He was born July 17, 1927 in Plain City, a son of Loyd and Lenora Knight Hadley. On October 10, 1946, Dwaine married Barbara Carver in Plain City. They were later divorced. He married Mary Lou Spencer on November 1, 1952 in Reno, Nevada. She died January 17, 1980. Dwaine married Glenda Nielsen Hancock on September 29, 1980 in Roy. He was raised and educated in Weber County graduating from Weber High School in 1945. He also attended Weber State College. He served his country with the U.S. Coast Guard during World War II. Dwaine was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He retired as a superintendent from Gibbons and Reed Construction Company. Dwaine was a member of the Elks, Eagles and the American Legion. He enjoyed golfing, water skiing and working in his yard. Surviving are his wife Glenda of Ogden; two sons and four daughters, Jim (Susy) Hadley, Salt Lake City; Larry H. (Susan) Hancock, St. George; Holly Larkin, Willard; Kim (Ron) McGarvey, Brigham City; Diane H. (Sherm) Kelstrom, Syracuse; Darla J. (Marc) Roop, St. George; 19 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Also surviving are one brother and one sister, Dennis (Kay) Hadley, Mesquite, NV; and Bonnie (Tom) Knox, Helena, MT. Preceding him in death were two brothers, Ray Hadley and Billy Hadley. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 1 p.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. Friends may call at the mortuary on Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Thursday Noon to 12:45 p.m. Interment, Ogden City Cemetery where Military Honors will be accorded by the Combined Veterans Honor Guard.
