Dwaine “Wayne” Allen Roberts

Dwaine “Wayne” Allen Roberts, husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, sadly passed away surrounded by his family on Thursday, March 24, 2016 in Ogden, Utah due to complications of pneumonia. He was 66.

Wayne was born in Bradfordsville, Kentucky on August 5, 1949, to Charles and Ailene Bright Roberts.

He married the love of his life Vickie Jean Saunders on September 23, 1966. Together they had three sons and a daughter.

Family was the most important thing to Wayne. Spending time with his wife kids and grandkids was one of the things he enjoyed best. As well as camping, fishing, and going on cruises to the Caribbean.

As a young man, Wayne raised and broke wild horses with his uncle Sebern. This was something he really enjoyed. He worked at Ogden Quick Freeze, Ideal Cement Company, Hinks Ford Tractor, and Sunset Kubota where he retired in 2015.

Wayne is survived by his wife of nearly 50 years, sons, Wayne (Natalie) Roberts, Denny Roberts, and Cody Roberts; grandchildren, Brittany (Arnold) Gonzalez, Brayden (Stacey) Roberts, Rachel (Samuel) Reeder, Brody Roberts, Dominic Roberts, Tawni Roberts, Tyson Roberts, JJ Roberts, Andrea Hill, and Amy Lam. Great-grandchildren Kenzlie, Haylie, Tazyn, Tinzlie, Talyn, Moira, Aspen, Anna, Azia and Daniel; his siblings, Sue (Lonnie) Garner, Barbara (Brent) Frost, Charles (Tamara) Roberts, Jim Roberts, Ron (Jill) Roberts, Glen (Wendy) Roberts, Kathy (Ron) Thompson, and Toby (Teresa) Roberts.

He was preceded in death by both his mother and father, his daughter, Rachel; sister, Juanita (Pee Wee) Orton; a special uncle and aunt, Sebern and Ivy Roberts, along with his mother and father-in-law, Leland D. and Viola Saunders.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday March 29, 2016 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.  Friends may visit with family on Tuesday from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the mortuary. Interment, Ogden City Cemetery 1875 Monroe Blvd, Ogden, UT.
