Dwight LaMar Kelsey
Dwight LaMar Kelsey passed away on Sunday, December 30, 2012 at his home.
He was born in Salt Lake City, Utah on December 10, 1935 to Newel and Esdale Woolley Kelsey.
He served in the National Guard. He graduated from Brigham Young University. He married Sonja Benson on August 18, 1960 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. They settled in Clearfield, Utah and had a family of seven children. It broke his heart when Sonja passed away in October 2000.
"Big Dee" spent his career in the sales/grocery business. The majority of which was with Procter and Gamble.
Dwight had a strong testimony of the Gospel and The Savior Jesus Christ. He served an LDS mission in the British Mission.
Family vacations were a priority and created memories. He was an avid supporter of anything his children were involved in. He instilled a strong work ethic in all his children.
He was married to Marci Webster over the past few years and she was a loving caregiver and wife.
Dwight is survived by his wife, Marci Webster. His seven children and 22 grandchildren, Karen (J.B.) Richards, daughters, Kelsey and Kate, Ogden; Camile (Eric) Woodstrom, sons, Kyle and Jens, daughters, Anne and Jessica, Redding, CA; Michelle (Kevin) Plummer, son Kristian, daughter, Kathryn, Aliso Viejo, CA; John, daughters, Eden and Vesna, sons, Dane and Luke, Canada; Cathy (Greg) Washburn, daughter, Ashley, sons, Ethan and Jason, Syracuse; Kim (Dave) Lincoln, sons Nate, Cole, and Wyatt, Clearfield; Kenny (Diane) Kelsey, sons, Kyle, Alec and Kevin, daughter, Alyssa, Layton. Also surviving are his sisters, Merilyn (Mel) Wright; Janiel (Vern) Thomas; and Allene Meeks.
Dwight was preceded in death by his parents, and his siblings, Ruel Kelsey, Cleora Williams, Fero Kelsey, Verona Fisher, and Denise Justice.
The family wishes to thank Rocky Mountain Home Health and Hospice, particularly Katie, Lorrie, Melissa, and Jeremy, for their loving care.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 5, 2013 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist''s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road. Friends may visit family Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the mortuary. Interment, Lindquist''s Memorial Park at Layton, 1867 No. Fairfield Road.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Primary Children''s Hospital or LDS Missionary Fund.
