E. Dee Wright

E. Dee Wright, 78, passed away on August 27, 2011 surrounded by his family.

Dee was born in Kaysville, UT on May 5, 1933 to William James Wright and Elda Rose Perkins. He was a lifelong resident of Kaysville. He graduated from Davis High School and Weber College. He married his grade school sweetheart Marion Smith on July 16, 1952 in the Logan LDS Temple.

He was a veteran of the United States Air Force and he loved his country. He retired from Hill Air Force Base. Dee was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served faithfully in various callings throughout his life. Dee loved to sing, golf, fish and garden. He was so fond of the Mutton Hollow area where he was born and raised and where he was able to return to live for many years. He loved sports of all kinds but his greatest joy was found in spending time with family. We have all benefited from his example of faith, service and endurance. Dessert nights won''t be the same without you, Dad. We love you so very much!

Dee is survived by his wife of 59 years Marion as well as children: Tracy Jorgenson Higley (Greg), Jackie Vance (Kolin), David Wright (Vicki). Also surviving are nine grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren along with a sister Faye Barnett and a brother Ray Wright. He had many extended family members and friends that he loved very much. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, three sisters, a son-in-law Alan Jorgenson and a granddaughter Callie Dee Vance.
