Earl John Roueche

Earl John Roueche passed away at age 99, January 2, 2025 in Crowley, Texas. Earl was born to John and Millie Roueche in Pocatello, Idaho on August 4, 1925. He married Elaine Whatcott November 26, 1952 in the Logan, Utah Temple. Earl was a beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He was blessed with seven children. Karen King (Michael), Michael Roueche (Susan), Tina Conde (Pedro), Terry Roueche (Cathy), Susan Hekking (Kris), Peter Roueche (Kari), and Aaron Roueche (Celeste). He has 31 grandchildren and (56) great-grandchildren. One granddaughter and his beloved wife preceded him in death. 

Earl is one of three children. Earl and Elaine made their home in McLean, VA for 43 years while he worked for the Organization of American States in Washington, DC. He did his undergraduate schooling at Idaho State University and his graduate work at the University of Utah and Harvard University.

 Earl served with his wife on several missions for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. They presided over the Belgium Brussels Mission and President and Matron of the Washington D.C. Temple. They served as missionaries in the London England Temple, Hong Kong and Auckland New Zealand area offices. They served together in six additional service missions at Church headquarters. Earl served in many positions at the ward and stake level including Bishop and Stake President.

 Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, January 11, 2025 at the Mueller Park Stake Center, 1800 Mueller Park Road, Bountiful, UT 84010, where the family will receive visitors from 9:30-10:30 AM prior to the service. Earl will be interred at Bountiful City Cemetery following the service.
