Eddie Alan Swanson
Eddie Alan Swanson, 47, passed away at his home on Friday, September 12, 2014 in Syracuse, Utah. He fought a long battle with heart failure attributed to radiation treatment when he was 10 years old. He was born September 15, 1966 in Biloxi, Mississippi, the son of Jimmy and Bonnie Swanson. He grew up in his early years in San Antonio, Texas and then moved to South Ogden where he called home. He graduated from Bonneville High School in 1985 where he served as Student Body Vice-President.
Upon graduation, Ed served an LDS mission to Boston and after returning, dated and was sealed to the love of his life, Patricia Pincock, in the Salt Lake Temple. After a few years at Weber State, they moved to Virginia while Ed attended and graduated dental school from the Medical College of Virginia at VCU. They then returned to Utah in 1995, established a dental practice in Bountiful and eventually settled in Syracuse where they raised six children.
Ed was an active member of the LDS church. He had many passions in his life, most of which involved his family. He enjoyed coaching youth football, dance recitals, cheer competitions, continuing education in the dental field and scuba diving. He loved Disneyland and above all, vacationing with his family. He loved doing anything so long as it involved Trish and the kids.
Ed is survived by his wife, Trish, daughters Elleny (Bryce) Widdison, Makensey, Baylee, and Brooklyn; sons Alex (Jane) Swanson, and Davis; parents Jimmy and Bonnie Swanson; sister, Billye "Pixie" Mead, and granddaughter Peyton Widdison.
We would like to express special thanks to Bishop Brock Hill, Bishop Gary Westbroek, Dr. Randy Chatelain, the entire heart failure team at IMC, especially Stacey Frampton, NP; Dr. Stephen Towner, Dr. Jane Macpherson, Dr. Stephen Clayson, Dr. James Revenaugh, and IHC Hospice for their compassionate care and skill.
