Edgar Lee Allen

Edgar, the son of Herbert and Clara Allen grew up on a farm in Kansas.

During the depression, he worked the fields with his three brothers, John, Max and Joe.

He enlisted during World War II where he worked as an aircraft mechanic.

While he was staying in Utah he met and married his wife, Ruth and they had two children, Richard and Cheryl.

He worked at Hill Air Force Base and later did some part time construction work

. He liked to spend time working on his hobby farm, rock collecting and polishing.

Ruth and his brothers, John, Max and Joe preceded him in death. He is survived by his son, Richard and his wife Anitra, daughter, Cheryl, and grandson, Edgar Louis and his wife, Blair.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, November 17, 2017 at Lindquist’s Roy Mortuary, 3333 West 5600 South. The family will meet with friends Friday from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at the mortuary.

Interment, Roy City Cemetery.
