Edgar Kidman Call, 88, passed away at his home on Tuesday, September 17, 2013 from an illness due to age.
Edgar, lovingly called Bud, was born December 27, 1924 in Mendon, Utah to Edgar William and Viola Kidman Call. He received his education in Cache County schools and graduated from Logan High School. He also graduated from Utah State University in Logan, Utah.
He was drafted into the U.S. Air Force where he served with honor during World War II. He served with the 3021 Army Air Force Base Unit. He flew 35 missions in a B-24 Liberator Bomber during the war.
Bud married the love of life, Ora Brooks on September 6, 1946 in St. George, Utah. They have been married 67 years.
He worked for Hill Air Force Base for 32 years before retiring in 1982.
Bud was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed boating and going to stay at their cabin in Montana.
Bud is survived by his wife, Ora, 13 nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Wanda and brother, Thead.
Thanks to all those who made his last days be the best that they could be under the circumstances, but a special thanks to our "Visiting Angel" Zana who treated him with love and compassion and became a special part of our family.
Funeral services will be held Friday, September 20th at 11 a.m. at the Roy 2nd Ward Chapel, 5127 South 2400 West, with Bishop Adams, officiating. The family will meet with friends on Friday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the church.
Interment, Logan Cemetery, where Military Honors will be accorded by the American Legion Post 1695.
