Edgar Daems, 95, passed away on Friday, January 14, 2011. He was born June 4, 1915 in Sheffield, England to Clement and Palmyra Van Der Haugen Daems.

He married Alice Piddington on July 24, 1937 in Chicago, Illinois. She passed away in 2004.

Edgar was a member of St. Stephens Episcopal Church and was a Boy Scout leader.

He is survived by his son Richard Daems, Kaysville, UT and daughter Joyce McAvoy, Layton, UT; 7 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and his sister Maria Pellagreintti.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, January 23, 2011 at 5 p.m. at Lindquist''s Layton Mortuary, 1867 N. Fairfield Road. Cremation will follow.
