Edgar L. Holsinger, Jr.
OGDEN a" Edgar Loren Holsinger, Jr., 60, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 2, 2007 at Ogden Regional Medical Center, surrounded by his family.
He was born August 7, 1946 in Celina, Ohio, to Edgar Loren Sr. and Rosemary Cottermann Holsinger.
Ed served with the United States Navy from 1965 to 1969 and was a veteran of the Vietnam War.
He married Joyce Barton in Elko, Nevada on October 11, 1969.
Ed was a member of the Christian Worship Center.
He was formerly a foreman at Jetway and at the time of his death was a forklift driver at Lofthouse Foods.
Ed enjoyed reading, golfing, going for long rides, and spending time with his children and grandchildren.
Surviving are his wife Joyce, one son Jason Edgar Holsinger, and four daughters, Shamara (Tony) Borges, all of Ogden; Dawnette (Owen) Pratt, Clinton; Lorna (Dave) Hatch, Elko, NV; Amy (Aaron) Herrera, North Ogden; and 10 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his daughter Jennifer Joy Holsinger, his parents, and father-in-law.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Lindquist''s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd., with Pastor Dean Sisk officiating.
Friends may call at the mortuary on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday 9:45 to 10:45 a.m.
Interment, Lindquist''s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd., where Military Honors will be accorded.
