Edith Elizabeth Astle Limb
SYRACUSE a" Our beloved Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother and friend returned to our Heavenly Father on Sunday, September 14, 2008 due to complications from cancer. Edith was surrounded by her family at the home of her daughter in Syracuse at the time of death. Edith was born on September 4, 1924 in Garland, Utah to James William and Minnie Mae Snyder Astle. She married Edward T. Limb, June 9, 1945 in Malad, Idaho. Edward passed away on December 21, 1970.
Edith graduated from Bear River High School. She lived in Garland, UT, Malad, ID, Layton, UT and Syracuse, UT. She was employed for 30 years at HAFB as a Communications Supervisor. Edith belonged to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and was a Junior Sunday School and Mutual Teacher. She also volunteered for Davis Hospital for 13 years.
Edith''s hobbies and interests were many including Utah Jazz, reading, crocheting and travel.
Survived by one daughter, Gloria L. Butterfield, Syracuse, UT; one sister, Ellen Ruth Larsen, three grandchildren, Mitchell Guy Tice, Syracuse, UT; Burke Edward Tice, Syracuse, UT; Aimee Elizabeth Jacobsen, Monrovia, CA; and seven great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by husband Edward, great-grandson, Cameron Tice, parents, four brothers and one sister.
Graveside services will be held Wednesday, September 17, 2008 at 2 p.m. at the Syracuse City Cemetery.
