Edith Lloyd Shifflett

Edith Lloyd Shifflett, age 87, passed September 4, 2010 surrounded by family.

She was born in Farmington, Utah January 29, 1923 to Charles Alfred and Sena Sorenson Lloyd.

In 1977, at age 54, she served a full-time mission in Florida for the LDS Church. Her greatest love was her family, her church, and her friends. She possessed a Christ-like love and concern for all. She often went out of her way, even in her last days to help neighbors.

Edith is survived by a son and daughter, Elwood (Sue) and Fay (Owen) Richardson; 5 grandchildren, Michael, Matthew, Curtis, Heidi (Grant) Banford and Heather (Gary) Pedersen; and eight great-grandchildren.

She will be remembered for her genuine love and concern for others. Her legacy is her love and the impact she had on all who knew her.

A viewing will be on Wednesday, September 8, 2010 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Lindquist''s Kaysville Mortuary, 400 N. Main, Her funeral will be held Thursday, September 9, 2010 at 11 a.m. at the Farmington 20th Ward Chapel, 1885 N. Summer Wood Dr., with a viewing from 9:45 to 10:45 prior to the service.
