Edith Magdalena Deininger Wheeler

Edith Magdalena Deininger Wheeler, 95, passed away on Wednesday, January 22, 2014. She was born to Ernest Michael and Lena Wenger Deininger in Monroe, Wisconsin on August 24, 1918. She grew up and attended schools in Wisconsin. After graduating from high school she went to Gallaudet College where she met Ned Claude Wheeler. Edith and Ned were married on November 25, 1937 in Ogden, Utah. After nearly fifty years of marriage, Ned passed away.
Edith’s passions in life were golfing, bowling, and playing cards and games with family and friends, followed closely by traveling around the world.
Edith is survived by her daughters, Nedra Wheeler Hardy, Annandale, Virginia; and Valarie (M. Val) Wheeler Eccles, Ogden, Utah; 15 grandchildren, 41 great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren; and brother, Robert Deininger, Memphis, Tennessee.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ned Claude Wheeler; son, Victor Claude Wheeler; three brothers, and two sisters.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 27, 2014 at 2 p.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. Friends may visit with family on Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Monday from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at the mortuary.
Interment, Lindquist’s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd.
