Edna Bangerter
1928 – 2012
Edna Cloward Bangerter, a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend peacefully left this world to be reunited with her husband on Saturday, October 27, 2012.
She was born September 7, 1928 in Payson, Utah to Charles Edgar, Jr. and Eppie Coray Cloward. She graduated from West High School and married Joseph Bangerter on November 23, 1946 in Salt Lake City, Utah. He preceded her in death on June 1, 1990. Together they raised five children while living in the United States and traveling to Vietnam, Thailand and Guam. She worked as a bookkeeper throughout her lifetime.
Edna had a zest for life even through some very challenging times. She loved traveling and was an avid Jazz Fan. She loved her garden, especially her tulips. She enjoyed handiwork and giving away her finished projects. Edna loved her family and enjoyed visits from them.
She is survived by her children; Karla Robinson (Ed), Larry Bangerter (Josie), Scott Bangerter (Donabel), Kent Bangerter, and Roger Bangerter (Patti); ten grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren. Also survived by her two sisters, Beatrice Ruegg and Maxine Jameson. Preceded in death by her parents, husband, granddaughter Kenzi, sister, Marie Woodhouse, and brothers Howard and Rex Cloward.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 am Thursday, November 1, 2012 at Lindquist’s Bountiful Mortuary, 727 N. 400 E. where friends may visit family from 9:45-10:45 am prior to services. Interment Bountiful City Cemetery
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
