Edna “Maxine” Stoddard Crawford

August 27, 1924 ~ February 13, 2022

Edna “Maxine” Stoddard Crawford was born on August 27, 1924, to Edna and Ed Stoddard in Ogden, UT. She passed peacefully February 13, 2022 at the Rocky Mountain Care Center in Clearfield. She graduated from Ogden High in 1942.

She married William Cooper 1948, married Charles Wolle 1957, and Joseph Crawford 1973.

Maxine was employed at DDO and the State Industrial School for many years. She was a proud member of the Fraternal Order Eagles Auxiliary Lodge #2042. Through the Eagles Auxiliary Lodge, she was a proud supporter of St. Jude Research Hospital, and traveled across the US in their 5th wheel trailer.  Maxine always loved to dance and loved music.  She loved being surrounded by family through phone, letters or in person.

Special thanks to Dr. Stephen Bruce and staff for the many years of exceptional care they provided to her. Thank you everyone at the Rocky Mountain Care Center in Clearfield who cared for our funny and feisty Maxine and loved her like your own.

Maxine is survived by her sons, Jeff Cooper (Barbara) Big Bear City, CA; Ed Cooper, Alamogordo, NM; Mike Wolle, Las Vegas, NV; and Erick Wolle, Springfield, MO; daughters, Cheryl Cooper Newbold, Oakland, TN; Michele Wolle, Ogden, UT; and Sue Kuykendall Coos Bay, OR. She was so proud of her many, many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 17, 2022 at 2 p.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.  Interment, Lindquist’s Memorial Gardens of the Wasatch, 1718 Combe Rd.
