Edna Mae Noorda Hill, 83, passed away Monday, March 14, 2011 at McKay-Dee Hospital.
She was born May 10, 1927 to Bert and Alida Vandenberg Noorda in Ogden, Utah.
On August 29, 1946, Edna married Marlin V. Hill in Elko, Nevada. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple in September of 1946. Marlin preceded her in death on January 29, 2002.
Edna was a member of the LDS Church where she served as Relief Society president, and sang with the Mormon Tabernacle Choir. She traveled with the choir to many different locations for performances.
Music was her life, she loved to sing and also taught piano.
Edna is survived by her children, Paul (Shauna) Hill, Fruit Heights; Linda Budge, Pleasant View; Doug (Julie) Hill, Hooper; 14 grandchildren, 40 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Also surviving is a sister-in-law, Tye Noorda.
She was preceded in death by her husband, a sister, Marie Hopkin, two brothers, Raymond and Bert Noorda, and a son-in-law, Thom Budge.
Funeral services will be held Friday, March 18th at 11 a.m. at Lindquist''s Roy Mortuary, 3333 West 5600 South.
The family will meet with friends on Friday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at the mortuary.
Interment, Lindquist''s Memorial Gardens of the Wasatch, 1718 Combe Road.
