Edna P. Vine

Edna P. Vine OGDEN – Edna Pearl Williams Vine, 86, returned to her Heavenly Father on Friday, October 30, 2009. Edna was born October 5, 1923 to Ebenezer Joshua and Elizabeth Jane Mills Williams in Ranchester, Wyoming. Edna married her lifelong companion, John Edward Vine Sr., on December 15, 1943 in Sacramento, California. John preceded her in death on April 24, 1995. She worked for Hill Air Force Base in the secretarial pool, and for Wal-Mart. Edna’s hobbies and enjoyments were playing bingo, fishing and hunting with her family, and demolition derbys and rollovers. Edna is survived by four sons, John Edward Jr., (Betty) Vine, Ogden; Robert (Marge) Vine, Sunset; Richard Vine, Roy; Ron Vine Ogden; 29 grandchildren, 66 great-grandchildren and 18 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, two sisters, one daughter and three sons. The family expresses special thanks to the friends and staff at Legacy House of Ogden, Comfort Hospice, and our friends at Lindquist Mortuaries. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 4 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Roy Mortuary, 3333 West 5600 South. Family and friends may call at the mortuary on Tuesday, November 3 from 6 to 8 p.m. and Wednesday 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. Interment, Roy City Cemetery.
