Edna D. Watts
SOUTH WEBER – Our beloved Mother, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother, Edna Davis Watts, passed away on Tuesday, May 22, 2007 at age 95.
She was born April 1912 in Perry, Utah to William Henry and Mary Elizabeth Young Davis. She was raised and attended school in Box Elder County.
Edna married her eternal sweetheart, Elwood Taylor Watts on August 31, 1932 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.
She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and was called to many positions in Primary, Sunday School, MIA and family history.
Her interests included her family, photography, gardening, reading, and she was especially known for her intense work in family history and genealogy. She created beautiful, detailed Books of Remembrance for her children and grandchildren. She was reported to be the oldest living resident of South Weber at the time of her death.
Edna is survived by her children, Berniel Vail and Gordon Taylor (Connie Welling) Watts, both of South Weber; eight grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Elwood Taylor Watts and great-grandson, Shane Robert Player, her parents, three brothers and eight sisters.
The family wishes to express their deepest appreciation to Inspiration Hospice for their untiring service to our beloved mother over the past 15 months. Special thanks to Nicole, Alli, Joni and Dr. Peter Clemens.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 26, 2007 at 11 a.m. at the Pioneer Ward Chapel, 6650 South 1775 East, in Uintah.
Friends may call at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd., on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday at the Pioneer Ward Chapel from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m.
Interment, Lindquist’s Memorial Gardens of the Wasatch, 1718 Combe Road.
