Edward Stanislaus Bushak
LAYTON a" Edward Stanislaus Bushak, 87, passed away on Tuesday, February 23, 2010. He was born July 9, 1922 to Stanley and Hedwig Spieg Bushak in Scranton, PA.
Edward was raised in Pennsylvania and worked at Middletown Airbase as a mechanic. He served in the US Army during WWII. He married Margaret Schultz in 1948 and they shared 62 years together before her passing in January.
They moved to Utah in 1965 and he retired from Hill Air Force Base in 1979 as a logistics officer. He was a member of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church. He loved golfing, airplanes and reading.
He is survived by his daughter Ann (Doug) Johndrow, daughter-in-law Debbie Bushak; four grandsons, Edward J., Matt, Patrick, and Michael; four granddaughters, Jennifer, Emily, Hannah, and Jessica; five great-grandchildren; and sisters Martha Konat and Edna Romanosky. Preceded in death by his parents, wife Margaret, son Edward, three sisters and one brother.
Funeral Mass will be held Saturday, February 27, 2010 at 9 a.m. at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, 210 S. Chapel St., Layton. Friends and family may gather Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. with a prayer service at 6:30 p.m. at Lindquist''s Layton Mortuary, 1867 N Fairfield Rd.
