Edward Dombrowski
SUNSET - God sent his angels to take our beloved father, grandfather, and friend Edward Dombrowski to Heaven to be by his side. Edward passed away at the age of 83 on Thursday, February 22, 2008.
He was born October 2, 1924, in Reading, PA to Joseph and Ellen Osmola Dombrowski.
He was raised and educated in Pennsylvania.
On December 5, 1945, Edward married Lorraine Turner in Reading, PA. Lorraine preceded him in death on March 26, 2006.
Edward was a member of the St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Layton.
He served in the United States Navy.
Ed managed the meat department at Smith’s Food King.
He was very active in the Elks Lodge where he served as the Exalted Ruler form 1984 to 1985, (DDGER Utah North 1992) and as Grand Knight of Knights of Columbus. He also volunteered at North Davis Hospital.
Ed is survived by one daughter, Ms. Connie Metzker of Milwaukie, Oregon; two grandchildren Jared (Rachel) Murray and Jaden Murray, both of Oregon; and three great-grandchildren, Kaiya Murray, Azriel Murray, and Rozzalynn Murray. Also surviving are two brothers and two sisters; Joseph, Henry, Helen and Florence.
Also surviving are his adopted families Clayton (Jeannette) Palmer and their children; David (Judy) Palmer, Donald (Billine) Palmer, Donna (Denny) Kunz; Bob and Norma Fawcett and their children; , Terrie (Rick) Robinson, Barb (Pat) Wilson, and Chris (Debora) Fawcett; grandchildren, Jennifer (Matt) Berrett, Cori Yamashita, Brock Palmer, CB (Bryce) Palmer, Kyle Palmer, Stephanie Kunz, Ryan Palmer, Kincade Kunz, Colleen Fogarty and Sean Fogarty; great-grandchildren Samantha Berrett and Victoria Wilson; and many of his great and wonderful friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Lorraine and his only son, Michael.
Funeral Mass will be held Thursday, February 28th at 9:00 a.m. at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, 210 South Chapel St., Layton.

Friends may call on Wednesday from 6 to 7 p.m. With a Prayer Service at 7:00 p.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.
Interment, Lindquist’s Memorial Gardens of the Wasatch, 1718 Combe Road.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the Elks National Foundation, c/o of Golden Spike Elks Lodge.
