Edward E. “Bill” Lindquist
OGDEN – Edward Earl “Bill” Lindquist, 96, passed away Tuesday, April 10, 2007 at McKay-Dee Hospital.
He was born October 12, 1910 in Ogden, a son of Edward Elmer, Sr. and Adella Dinsdale Lindquist.
On May 13, 1932, Bill married Adria Fuhriman in Cache Valley. Adria passed away in 1990.
He had served with the U.S. Army National Guard.
Bill began working in 1933 for The Fred Kiesel Estate and supervised maintenance of the five story Kiesel Building, along with 17 other buildings and hotels.
He was the Heavy Weight Champion of the Western Region National Guard and fought with Jack Dempsey from 1930 to 1931. Bill also enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Surviving are one son and one daughter, Gary (Helen) Lindquist, Palm Coast, FL; Nancy (Gerald) Summers, Syracuse; five grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife Adria, his parents and two sisters.
Graveside services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Memorial Gardens of the Wasatch, 1718 Combe Road.
