Edward Lee Peterson
Edward Lee Peterson died Wednesday, April 13, 2011 at McKay-Dee Hospital, Ogden, Utah. He was born July 28, 1944, in Logan, Utah, to Alton and Naomi Peterson.
Ed attended schools in Wyoming and Utah, graduated from Uintah High School, Vernal; attended Carbon College (now College of Eastern Utah), Price; Utah State University, Logan; and Boise State College, Boise, Idaho; where he received an Associate Diploma in Applied Science. He was a highly skilled machinist and welder, working in shops in Emmett and Boise, Idaho; Salt Lake City and Logan, Utah.
He served in the U.S. Army, stationed at Fort Rucker, Alabama; Fort Eutis, Virginia; and Fort Knox, Kentucky; and served as Crew Chief on aircraft in Ethiopia and Liberia for U.A. Army Map Services. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and was a resident of Cache Valley for the past 22 years.
Survivors include siblings: John and Carole Peterson, Coila and Brent Robinson; nephews and niece: Phillip and Sherron Peterson, David and Chris Peterson, Jan and Steven Dawson, Jacob and Michelle Robinson, and Paul Robinson; 10 grand-nieces and grand-nephews; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Graveside services will be held Saturday, April 16, 2011 at 10 a.m. at the Logan City Cemetery, Logan, UT.
Funeral directors, Lindquist''s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Primary Children''s Medical Center Foundation or Shriner''s Hospitals for Children.
