Edwin R. Hickman, 67, passed away on Thursday, March 14, 2019. He was born on November 27, 1951 in Ogden, UT.
He married his high school sweetheart, Cynthia Maestas, on February 22, 1991 in Ogden, Utah
Ed served in the Air Force 419th Reserves from 1969 to 2003 and served during the Vietnam War. In Houston, Texas he owned his own restaurant and was part of the Knights of the Round Table. Later he worked in the heating and air conditioning industry. Ed loved golfing, leather working, and sewing.
Ed is survived by his wife, Cynthia of Ogden; sons, Rocky Hickman of Ogden, Nicky (Jamie) Soledad of Richmond, Sean Soledad of Ogden, and Erik (Melissa) Soledad of Ogden; daughter, Kim Hickman of Ogden; nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his mother, Elise Teeters; sister, Elise Hipwell; mother-in-law, Teoflia Blea; and brothers-in-law, Rayes Padilla and Gene Maestas.
Friends may visit with family on Friday, March 22, 2019 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. where military honors will be accorded at 6 p.m. with a Rosary at 7 p.m. A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, March 23, 2019 at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 514 24th St., Ogden.
