Edwin (Ted) Leneal Lazenby
"My love, my life, my friend", Ted, who was born July 17, 1933 to Henry and Orpha Lazenby, left in the arms of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on June 27, 2013, after a 10 year battle with Alzheimers and Parkinsons. He and Jesus have won the fight with the horror of these diseases. Praises be to our Great and Mighty God! Ted left his legacy of unconditional love to his wife of 34 years Karren, and his most precious accomplishments of this life, his "kids", Ruhama Pemberton, Shelly Lazenby, and Kelly Lazenby Willett, also two children, Robert York, and LeeAnne King (Dave), who have been proud to call him "Pop"; six grandchildren, of which Ted called "completely amazing", Corey, Quan, Judah, Elissa, Chris, and Zack; and he was in total awe of his three great-grandchildren Alan and Noah (Corey), and Haylee (Chris).
Ted served his beloved country proudly as an Army paratrooper in the Korean War, from July 1951 to November 1952, coming home on December 23, 1953.
Ted was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Orpha; four brothers Dick, Doug, Dale, and a baby brother Walter; three sisters Donna, Fay, Helen; and his son Larry, who passed away on September 2, 1985, for whom he has mourned his passing each day since. Ted is survived by his sister Fern, his brother Vigil, and so many others whom have blessed us.
A very special, and heartfelt "Thank You" to the Symbii Hospice team, Mary, Tarrin, Stacy, Melissa, Carla, and Dr. Christian, who have taken the most wonderful, and heartwarming care of Ted over the last year and a half.
