Edwina "Winnie" Hearll Earl

October 19, 1950 — February 26, 2025

Edwina “Winnie” H Earl, 74, of Riverdale, Utah, was reunited with family lost, on February 26, 2025, while in the arms of loved ones. She was born October 19, 1950, in Rosiclaire, Hardin County, Illinois, to Edward A. Hearell and Betty Ruth (Warren) Erb.

Winnie is survived by her loving sons, Michael (Nichole) Hearell and Cody (Lisa) Hearell; her sisters, Jean (Roger) Sandheinrich of Illinois and Carole Sinks Jadron of Illinois; and her nine cherished grandchildren. She also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, and an uncountable number of dear friends whose lives she touched with her kindness and generosity. She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward A. Hearell and Betty Ruth (Warren) Erb; her stepfather, Clifford Michael Erb; her brother, Michael D. Baker, her sister, Ruth Ann Hearell; and her brother-in-law, Frank Jadron.

As a child, Mom learned the art of catching Catfish on the Ohio River in Hardin County, Southern Illinois. This craft even had her featured in an article with the local paper at the age of nine and led to her love of eating fried catfish! She spent her teens and most of her adult life in the Metro-East St Louis area, with 17 years mixed in living near Ogden, Utah.

She spent much of her career in retail, where her warm and welcoming nature made a lasting impact on those around her. She had a deep love for arts and crafts, puzzles, and diamond art, and she found great joy in music while singing and playing organ. Her beloved pet companions, watching her grandkids play sports, but most of all, the time spent with family and friends. Her creativity, kindness, and laughter will be fondly remembered by all who knew her.

A celebration of Winnie’s life will be held on March 8, 2025, from 12 to 4 p.m. at the Riverdale Community Center, 4360 Parker Dr, Riverdale, UT. Arrangements entrusted to Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary.

The family will hold an ash spreading ceremony in Elizabethtown, IL on Mom’s Birthday, October 19, 2025. We will post more details on Facebook.

The family would like to express our eternal love and gratitude to Mary Jo for her friendship and support of our Mom.

Winnie’s legacy of love and warmth will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

In lieu of flowers, donations to assist with the memorial costs are appreciated to help the family in this difficult time.
