OGDEN - Eileen Ward Kapp passed away peacefully February 25, 2011 after a five year battle with multiple myeloma. She was 83.

Eileen was born May 31, 1927 to Parker and Edna Ward in the old Dee Hospital. She attended local schools and graduated from Ogden High. She married Homer Shreeve in 1947 and they had three children, they later divorced. She married Ben Markland in 1952, they had one child, they divorced in 1959. She married George J. Kapp in 1960. Their marriage was solemnized in the Ogden Temple in 1969. They had two children.

Eileen held many church callings. She was in the Primary and Relief Society Presidencies and was Primary, Relief Society and Sunday School Chorister. She and her husband George served a mission to Fiji in 1993. After the death of her husband in 1997, she served another mission for the Church, working with Family Records. She also was a dedicated Temple Worker in the Bountiful Temple until the time of her illness.

Eileen was an avid BYU fan, loved the Utes Womens Gymnastics, and was a champion golfer in her younger days. She was a hard worker and owned and operated Kappy''s DayCare in her home for 17 years. She and her husband, George traveled extensively throughout the world with the BYU Cougar Club and the Davis High Marching Band.

She was preceded in death by her husband, George J. Kapp, her parents, twin sister; Irene W. Flowers, brother; Parker Ward.

She is survived by her six children; Michael Shreeve, Maxine Shreeve, Brent Shreeve, Joseph Ben Markland (Rayma), George Paul Kapp (Chistine) and Judi Kapp (Tommy Melonas). She has 15 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, March 1 at 11:00 a.m. at the Kaysville 3rd Ward, 588 East Mutton Hollow Rd. Friends may visit family Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist''s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Rd., Layton, Utah and Tuesday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at the church. Interment, Kaysville City Cemetery
