Eileen Stimpson Palmer

April 17, 1943 — September 15, 2024

Eileen Stimpson Palmer, 81, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loved ones on Sunday, September 15, 2024. She was born on April 17, 1943, the daughter of Lester “Bus” and Nelba Bailey Stimpson.

She married Phil Palmer on October 20,1961, in Riverdale, Utah and was later sealed in the LDS temple.

Eileen was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served a mission at the Family History Center.

She enjoyed playing bridge with her friends, but especially loved spending time with her family and being involved with their activities.

Eileen is survived by her husband, Phil Palmer; daughters, Lauri Canales, Kristen Nielsen, and Raquel Howard; 8 grandchildren: Christopher Canales (Jaime), Joshua Nielsen (Hehley), Ashley Smith (Jimmy), Tyler Canales (Sarah), Haylie Krum (Jarett), Dakota Canales, McCall Coombs (Seth), Rylie Howard and 16 great grandchildren. Also survived by her older sister Claudia Evans, and younger brother Scott Stimpson. She was preceded in death by her parents, Bus and Nelba Stimpson; in-laws, Floyd and Vera Palmer; and brother-in-law, Glen Palmer.

A small family burial will be held at Lindquist’s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd.

Services entrusted to Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary.

A family celebration of life will be held at a later date.
