Elaine passed away peacefully in her home with her loving granddaughters Sammy and Rickey at her bedside. She was born on May 14, 1930 to Martinez T. and E. Mabel Follett.

Elaine was beautiful, intelligent, sassy, blunt, and hilarious. She loved to laugh and tell jokes. She loved to sing little songs, even though she didn’t have much of a singing voice. She loved her wine. Elaine enjoyed her grandchildren, bowling, tennis, playing cards, and watching her “Cubbys” finally win the World Series. She loved spending time with her sister-best friend, Arlene. She will be missed.

Elaine is survived by her son, Mike (Kathie); daughter, Patt; and grandchildren, Liz (Brad Barr, Sammy (Travis) Barnes, KaCee Averett, Brett Averett, Rickey Wiltfang, and Zach Wiltfang; five great-grandchildren; one brother, John Follett; and one sister, Arlene Irwin. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jay C.; siblings, Stan,  Larry, Mignon; and her parents.

A special gratitude to her granddaughters, Sammy and Rickey and grandson-in-law, Travis, for all their loving and attentive care in her last years. They granted all of her wishes.

Graveside services will be held on Friday, September 22, 2017 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Memorial Gardens of the Wasatch, 1718 Combe Rd. Friends may visit with family on Friday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.
