Elaine Peterson Bills

Our Mother and Grandmother, Elaine Peterson Bills, 90, passed away peacefully Tuesday, April 2, 2013, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born March 16, 1923 in Spring Lake, Utah to Stanley and Queena Peterson. She was educated in Spanish Fork, Utah and graduated from Spanish Fork High School in 1941.

On April 4, 1946, Elaine married her longtime sweetheart, Dixon Bills, of Payson, Utah. Their marriage was solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple on January 30, 1964. Along with their love for each other, they were blessed with three children; Brent, Jerry, and Vicki Lynn.

Elaine worked for JC Penney Company for many years in the Personnel and Accounting departments, where she met many lifelong friends that she cherished greatly.

In 2005, Dick and Elaine moved to Syracuse, Utah to be closer to their son, his wife, and their grandchildren.

Elaine is survived by her son, Brent and his wife Merlene, two grandchildren, Justin (Cassy) Bills, Keri Lynn (Shawn) Lueders, five great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, two sisters, one brother, her son, Jerry, her daughter, Vicki Lynn, and a grandson, Wade.

The family would like to thank the staff at Birch Creek Home Care, with special thanks to Debbie and Carlie, who were more than care givers, they were friends.

Per Elaine''s wishes, there will not be a viewing. Graveside services will be held Tuesday, April 9, 2013 at 11:00 at the Spanish Fork Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Lindquist''s Roy Mortuary.
