March 22, 1966 ~ August 3, 2018
Elaine Kershaw-Hertzke, of Ogden, Utah spread her wings on Saturday, August 3, 2018; at age 52 years young.
She was born on March 22, 1966 at Seymour Johnson AFB Hospital in Goldsboro, North Carolina. She attended Bonneville High School in Washington Terrace, Utah.
In October of 1992, she married Mike Hertzke and later moved to Lancaster, CA where she earned her ACE automotive qualification and worked as a manager at several O’Reilly Auto Part stores, before returning to Utah.
Elaine dedicated herself to family and friends, making each of us feel loved and cherished no matter where life took us. She volunteered at the senior center in Washington Terrace and loved her time with rescue dogs.
She was sassy, smart, and knew no strangers. With her inner child being close to the surface, Elaine preserved a loving and non-judgmental soul that allowed her to enjoy finding a good time wherever she was.
Elaine leaves loving memories with her husband, Mike Hertzke, in-laws Steven (Shelley) Hertzke, MaryKay (Corey) Hertzke, Christine (Devin) Calcut, Johnny (Holly) Hertzke, Marie (Kerwick) Hertzke, stepson Ian Hertzke and granddaughter Savannah Hertzke, sisters Diann (Woody) Trappett and Sheila Kershaw, nieces Michelle (Adam) South, Hilary (Chris) Evans, and Rainy Kimber, and great nephew, Logan South.
Elaine was preceded in death by her father, Maj. Junius H. Kershaw, Jr., mother Gay (Butters) Kershaw, sister Gwen Kimber, brother Russell Kershaw and nephew Richard Kershaw.
Elaine was a tough cookie with a heart of gold and she will be greatly missed. Her giggle and her mantra “just keep swimming” will be with us forever.
In honor of her open spirit, family and friends are encouraged to celebrate her life in the way that feels best for them at anytime, anywhere.
Arrangement entrusted to Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary.
