Our beloved Elaine Larsen LeVitre, “Lainer”, 82, passed away peacefully in the early morning hours of Monday, November 7, 2022. She was born on August 2, 1940, in Redmond, Utah, on her grandmother’s kitchen table. The daughter of Alvin Elroy and Pharise Christensen Larsen. She grew up in Springville, Utah. She attended and graduated from Springville High School.
Elaine married her eternal love, Robert Lynn LeVitre on June 18, 1959, in the SLC Temple. After 37 years, Robert passed away on January 22, 1997.
She worked in the banking industry for 27 years with the Bank of Utah and she highly enjoyed her job. She made many friends over her career, including her special friend Maggie Hall, whom she spent many lunches and trips to Wendover with.
Elaine enjoyed fishing, hunting deer and elk, backpacking, she even got in her 50-mile hike. She loved to plant flowers, work in her garden, and dig in the dirt. She liked anything outdoors, and being in the Lord’s beautiful world, as she felt closer to Him there than in any temple.
Elaine is survived by her brother, Doyle (Pat) Larsen; two of her children, Michelle LeVitre Shupe and David Victor LeVitre; 9 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren, whom she loved very much. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, “Robbie”; her son, Michael Robert LeVitre “Mikey”; her granddaughter, Siobhan Elaine Griffin; her sister, Betty Lou Larsen Bittle; and her little dog, “Sarah”.
