Our beloved wife, mother, and grandma returned to the Lord on February 5, 2024, at her home in the loving arms of her devoted husband, Mike. Elaine was born in Ogden, Utah on August 23, 1960, to Casie and Helen Cruz. She was the youngest of four children.
She attended school in Ogden, Utah. After graduation, she started working at Hill Air Force Base. She met her sweetheart and best friend at work. Mike and Elaine were married June 7, 1986, in Clearfield, Utah. Together they have four children, Tony, Lucas, Theresa, and Casey.
Elaine valiantly served the Lord. She enjoyed serving others! She faithfully took care of her husband for the last 37 years. She always put everyone before herself. Mom could usually be found in the kitchen. She was always making a snack! She loved to cook and entertain her family and friends. Mom loved her game shows, makeup, jewelry, cards, puppies, and most of all her “kiddos”. She had an unbreakable bond with her sister, Kathy. She loved to travel to Indiana to see her and the girls! They always had a wonderful time filled with laughter! We are going to miss Mom and the way she lit the room and all her words of wisdom!
We seek comfort in knowing she is in the arms of the Lord.
Elaine is survived by her husband, Mike; children, Tony (Eschel), Lucas (Heather), Theresa, and Casey; 16 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren; sister, Kathy (Paul) Zumhingst; many nieces and nephews; and her puppies, CoCo and Missy. She was preceded in death by her parents, Casie and Helen Cruz; her brothers, Richard, Ted, and Sam Cruz.
