Elaine Murphy

Elaine Murphy ABILENE, Texas – Elaine Murphy, of Abilene, died Sunday, April 20, 2008 at the age of 75. She was born July 24, 1932 in Ogden, Utah, to Leigh and Kareen Nelson Straw. She was a graduate of Ogden High School. Elaine married Raymond Murphy. He preceded her in death. She was a civil service employee with the United States Air Force. Elaine had been a resident of Abilene for the past nine years, moving from Las Vegas, Nevada. While living in Abilene, she was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary. Surviving are two sons, Kris L. Robins, Las Vegas, NV; Brett L. Robins, Brigham City, UT; one daughter, Jeanne Nelson, Stockton, CA; and her close friends, B.J. Cadwell and Juanita Ortega, both of Abilene, TX. Elaine was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Raymond. Graveside services will be held Friday, April 25, 2008 at 11 a.m. at the Ogden City Cemetery.
