ELAINE FOLEY REVELL
Elaine Foley was third child of Ethel Howe Foley and Alvin Wade Foley. She was adored by her older brother, Wade, and sister, Lila Lee. She was a tiny child and given the nickname Peanut, or “Peany.”
She was a good student and had many friends growing up. While a student at Weber College, Elaine met Charles “Chuck” Revell and they were married in the Salt Lake Temple on April 2, 1947.
Their first baby, Gregg, was born in 1948, and within a few more years they had welcomed daughters Charlene and Patrice. On Chuck’s birthday, March 8th, 1955, a beautiful baby boy was born, whom they named Gary Wade. Gary’s accidental death just 15 months later was a tragedy from which Elaine never fully recovered. It was, however, a huge comfort to be blessed afterward with a baby daughter, Jana, and then a caboose son, Darren. Elaine and Chuck moved their family to Bountiful, Utah, in 1964. They would call this city their home for the next four decades, raising their children and serving their community there, until retiring to St. George.
Elaine loved board games, her ladies club, painting, traveling the world, and writing poems. Her family and friends delighted in her wit and ability to rhyme and create limericks about them. Elaine was deeply devoted to her family and an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day-Saints.
Elaine is survived by five children, all of her 19 grandchildren, 47 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren, many of whom know her as “Grandma Great.”
The family would like to thank Comfort WoRx Hospice, Legacy House of Bountiful, and the Bountiful House LDS Branch for their great love and care.
Memorial Services will be held at the Bountiful Tabernacle, 55 S. Main St. Bountiful, on Saturday, April 27, 2019 at 11:00 am. The family will welcome visitors 9:45-10:45 am. Following the service, graveside services will be held at 1:00 pm at Lindquist Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd., Ogden. Care entrusted to Lindquist’s Bountiful Mortuary.
