Elaine Perkins Roberts

April 3, 1923- April 28, 2017

Elaine P. Roberts has returned home to her Heavenly Father. She is survived by her children: Keith P. Roberts, Susan (Thayle) Anderson, Amie (David) Carrick, 11 grandchildren, and 23 great grandchildren, one great-great grandchild.  She was preceded in death by her husbands, Henry, Clarence and Eldon, Her parents, brothers Merrill, Odell, Dean and Eugene.

Born to William and Mamie Perkins in Kaysville, Utah. She was the fourth of nine children. Elaine and her siblings remained close throughout her life. Surviving siblings are Harold Perkins, Vaughan (Birchall) Perkins, Beverly (Frank) Ferrante, and Marsha (Ken) Rackham.

She was very devoted to serving others, she served in various callings and many missions for the church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She proudly served during WWII as a nurse in the U.S. Army.

Elaine enjoyed traveling, square dancing, volunteer work and spending time with family and lifelong friends. She was a loving Grandma who enjoyed playing games, and having adventures with her grand kids.

She was an inspiration to us with her strong, feisty, kind, giving nature. Our family would like to thank the many CNA’s and nurses who were kind and patient with their care of Elaine.

Funeral services will be held Saturday May 6, 2017 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 N. Fairfield Rd.  Friends may visit with family Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the mortuary.
