Elaine Marie Wallin Watson
Elaine Marie Wallin Watson, beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, died November 18, 2010 of natural causes incident to age. Born July 16, 1929 in Pocatello, Idaho to Carl Joel and Edna Marie Wallin, second of five children. Graduated high school in Pocatello, Idaho and briefly attended Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah.
As a faithful and valiant member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints she served in the Western Canadian Mission. She later married Cecil R Watson on December 22, 1954 in the Logan LDS Temple. Elaine served in various LDS auxiliary positions throughout her life. She and her late husband, Cecil, served as a senior missionary couple in the Melbourne, Australia Mission and several years together as temple workers in the Ogden LDS Temple.
Elaine''s life was devoted to service to her family and others. Elaine''s divine love and strong faith blessed her posterity and all who knew her. Her character was one of courage and endurance as she taught us to meet the challenges of life. She was an advocate and constant support to her family and those in need of her encouragement and wisdom.
She is survived by her seven children, Carla (John) Mackey, West Bloomfield, Michigan; Paula (Richard) Talbot, Gilbert, Arizona; Rozla (Lynn) Olsen, Helena, Montana; Joela (Brent) Craven, Layton, Utah; Bradlee (Suzanne), Highland Village, Texas; Roddlee (Angie), Springfield, Idaho; Donnlee (Ann) Syracuse, Utah; 32 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 22, at 2:00 at the Fairfield LDS Chapel, 380 S. Fairfield Rd., Layton, Utah. Friends and family may gather Sunday, November 21, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist''s Layton Mortuary, 1867 N. Fairfield Rd. and Monday from 12:30 to 1:30 at the chapel.
Interment, Lindquist''s Memorial Park at Layton, 1867 N. Fairfield Road.
