“Together Again”
On October 19, 2013, Elayne Helen Lambrose Bistolas, 82, passed away from causes incident to age. Elayne was born in Cornish, Utah to John G. and Katena Kouvousis Lambrose on February 22, 1931.
She graduated from North Cache High School in 1949, where her interests were drama and home economics. She met George Gust Bistolas, an active duty soldier in the U.S. Army in 1952. They married on September 20, 1953 in Salt Lake City at the Salt Lake City Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church. They began their married life in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, then later moved to Clearfield, Utah. Elayne was a long-standing member of both the Ogden Greek Orthodox Church of the Transfiguration and the Salt Lake City Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Cathedral.
Elayne had a beautiful smile, an encyclopedic memory, and friendly personality. She loved music, people, gardening, movies, concerts, sewing, puzzles, Pinochle, Wendover getaways, crafts, cooking, reading, taking pictures, and traveling.
Elayne is survived by her daughters, Peggy (Robert) Miller, Layton, and Georgette (John) Likens, Syracuse; granddaughter, Johanna (Bryn) Stull, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; sisters, Tina L. Barkley, Syracuse and Alice L. Chelemes, Clearfield; brother, Gus J. (Fros) Lambrose, Sacramento, California; sisters-in-law, June Lambrose, Roy and Stella (Gus) Kalaris; brother-in-law, John (Liz) Bistolas; along with numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two children, Dean and Karen; and three brothers, Louis, Chris (Thelma) and Billy.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 26, 2013 at 11:30 a.m. the Greek Orthodox Church of the Transfiguration, 674 42nd St., Ogden. Friends may visit with family on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. with a Trisagion Service at 7:30 p.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.
Interment, Lindquist’s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd.
