KAYSVILLE a€" Beloved husband, father, son and friend, Elden Rue Van Buren, 80, passed into his Heavenly Father''s care on Wednesday, August 26, 2009, from heart complications. He was born December 30, 1928 in Wattis, Utah, the son of Elden Taylor and Effie Hansen Van Buren. He married Eulala Dora Blooomfield on April 21, 1961 in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Elden served in the Army during the Korean Conflict. He was employed at Hill Air Force Base. Golf was his passion, with electronic gadgets of any kind taking a close second. Recently, he discovered the magic of biking the Legacy trails. He was an active member of the LDS Church, a temple ordinance worker for 11 years, and an awesome grandpa.

He is survived by his wife, Eulala, and children Carol (Doug) Cromar, Bonnie (Jon) Young, Elden Kay, and Donna (Ray) Gunn as well as a sister, ElDean Norseth, and other nieces and nephews. His grandchildren are Justin, Tanner, Colin, Brayden, Madison, Tristan, Hunter and Anna. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Stuart.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, September 1, 2009 at 11 a.m. at the Kaysville 4th Ward Chapel, 875 East 200 North. Friends and family may call Monday from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist''s Kaysville Mortuary, 400 North Main and Tuesday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the church.

Interment at the Kaysville City Cemetery.
